Jun Yoshizuki, the Japan-based culinary enthusiast behind the decade-old Jun’s Kitchen YouTube channel, is probably most famous for the endearing presence of his feline companions.
Haku, Poki, Nagi, and Pichi, who are all mindfully acclimated to Jun’s food prep activities, curiously observe and smell the ingredients as he works. They might wonder, “Will the results be human food or cat food?”
In the video above, Jun levels up the latter with a Fish Jelly Terrine dish for Poki and Nagi:
“This time, I made a Japanese recipe called nikogori (jellied broth) for my cats. Nikogori is often made with the natural jellies from fish bones (sea bream, flounder, eel, etc) or chicken wings. It’s often flavored with soy sauce but you can be creative and add anything to make it to your taste.”
“If you want to make a meal for your cats, please do research on which ingredients are okay to use. Also, make sure not to feed too much nor too often since it’s difficult to make a meal that are nutritious enough for cats.”
In addition to the fish and chicken, the fish jelly terrine includes squash, carrots, and broccoli. It’s topped with a sprig of catnip, and when each cat rings their bell, they will be served a nicely plated dish.
