Skateboard stop-motion, an animation from above

When animator Kevin Parry began creating this skateboard stop-motion animation, he sketched the entire plan out, both on paper and in a blocking animation. He then cleared a room and positioned a camera pointing down from up high. The entire floor would serve as an animation space. He explains:

“This animation was about 350 frames and the process really was just moving and positioning myself over and over and over again.”
